This class will provide you with the MV-278 certificate so you can sign up for the NYS DMV road test. The course is a fast-moving yet fun-filled program, which includes very important driving skill information. The course is four hours of teaching by law with the last hour set aside for breaks. You must bring your photo and learner's permit to the class. Able 2 Driving School Will Cover the Following During This Course The DMV point system, The Highway Transportation System, Effects of a driver's attitude, emotions and skills, Defensive driving techniques, Administrative law, The laws of physics as they relate to driving, The effects of restraining devices, Alcohol and drugs and their effects on driving, What to do in case of a collision

The Point and Insurance Reduction Program, approved by NYS – DMV and sponsored by the Empire Safety Council is available through companies like Able 2 Driving School. This defensive driving course will refresh your driving knowledge with a review of time-tested driving tips and an overview of today’s vehicle and traffic laws. Each participant in this course may be eligible to reduce as many as four points on his/her driving record. The DMV computer will automatically note your eligibility to receive the reduction. If you are the primary operator of a motor vehicle, you may also receive a minimum of 10% reduction in the base rate of your automobile or motorcycle liability insurance premiums each year for a period of 3 years.

The Driver's Education course consists of 24 hours of classroom instruction with 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and 18 hours of observation. Successful completion of this program allows students who are 17 years of age to receive their ‘blue card,’ which is necessary to drive alone before 5 00 am and after 9 00 pm. These driver's education courses are held at different locations numerous times throughout the year. Able 2 Driving School administers the in-car portion of the driver's education programs for OCM BOCES, Onondaga Community College, and West Genesee High School.

ABLE 2 Driving School, Inc. is NYS DMV approved and will provide you with the MV-278 certificate required to sign up for the NYS DMV road test.
