East Coast Driving School

East Coast Driving School is located at 25 East Central St. in the new Franklin Center Commons building in Franklin, Massachusetts. Our facility is a brand new, state of the art facility with a climate controlled atmosphere and comfortable seating. We offer a Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicle's approved curriculum that is taught by professionally licensed instructors.

Safety is the number one priority at East Coast Driving School. Our vehicles for on-road instruction feature side curtain airbags in both rows, seat-mounted side-impact airbags for the front seats and frontal airbags. Not only do our vehicles offer numerous safety features including a passenger side brake for the instructor, but also they offer the looks, performance and features that our students want.

Our classroom instructors at East Coast Driving School have years of experience in law enforcement. With that experience comes not only driving experience, but also the numerous life and death situations they have encountered in the course of their careers. They will take every opportunity to instill in our students the seriousness of getting behind the wheel of an automobile and the enormous accountability that doing so puts on their shoulders. They have all experienced tragic situations that young driver's have been involved in, whether it was on the side of a dark road, the breakdown lane of 495 at 2AM or in the courtroom the next day. Their knowledge and experience are invaluable assets to our students. Other driving schools simply cannot say the same.

While we are serious about teaching our students the realities of getting behind the wheel, we also offer an enjoyable, interactive and entertaining experience for them. Please take the time to explore our site and see what we have to offer.

I had the absolute worst experience at East Coast Driving School. The instructors, particularly Amanda Plante and Kim Tyrell, were rude and overly critical of everything I did. I didn’t feel properly prepared for my road test, and it seemed like their only goal was to take my money rather than ensure I was ready to pass. The lack of communication was appalling. After failing my road test the first time, my test was rescheduled for January 18th. However, just days before, they moved it to January 11th without notifying us properly. My mom emailed and called multiple times for clarification, but we got no response. On the day of the rescheduled test, it was canceled last minute due to ice. Despite repeated attempts to find out when it would be rescheduled, there was no communication. They eventually scheduled it for a day when I had rehearsal, and when I asked for a ride, I was told to walk. While the distance wasn’t far from my college, it was winter, and Donna’s claim that it was "just around the corner" was far from accurate. I would strongly recommend avoiding this driving school. Save your time and money!

I recommend this driving school. I got my license within 3 months, 2 trials, and got my license. You can familiarise with the test route, which will be helpful. The test route is a quiet road with very little traffic. (always remember your Blinkers) I would like to give Mr. Randy LaRosa a compliment. He is a kind person and helpful. He is very patient and under his guidance, I got my Driver’s license within JUST 15 hours, no extra practice myself. This shows that if the student have the right commitment, it’s possible to get your license quick.
