Used this shop because they are listed as a local service center for my Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11+ (fluidfreeride.com/pages/…)
I contacted Electric Avenue 8 months ago to let them know that I am purchasing a scooter that listed them as a service provider. Electric Ave. then said that shops will call and do that, Electric Ave has known for at least 8 months and they still communicate and have Electric Ave listed on fluidfreerides repair page and Electric Avenue still knows this to this day.
Fast forward 8 months and I run over a nail on my rear tire and contacted fluidfreeride.com and purchased a new tire. Electric Avenue said they could fix it and began to fix my tire. When I picked up my scooter it was not safe to ride because in repairing my tire they destroyed my wires and dropped my scooter in doing so and it was just "not right feeling". They told me to contact fluidfreeride.com because they don't work on a scooter like mine (even after they are the ones who broke my scooter when repairing) and told me to take my unsafe scooter home and wait for replacement parts to come in (controller and the frame pin they bent when they dropped it, yeah they dropped it because the tech told me and I'm sure their security cameras caught it in their 200 square foot shop. I still received my $20 part (that I didn't even try to charge them) from China before they had my scooter attempted at their repair attempt #2.
Three weeks later I get a call saying my scooter was ready and repaired. I went immediately over there and it only took me 5' of actual pavement surface to realize it's still broken. The owner/manager sitting from his office chair kept asking "What is wrong with it?... What is wrong, we checked it on a computer." While remaining comfortably in his chair and refused to get up and even look at their problem. They still had the gall to charge me $80/hr ($220 total) for the tire change and it's costing me $200 to have it shipped for their mistakes/repair to Miami, Florida (the scooter weighs 110lbs, it's not a rental scooter. I paid $3K because of it's speed). They like to belittle my scooter for their overpriced Electric Bikes and try to blame the manufacturer because they don't have the talent necessary to charge $80/hr in labor. What kind of skills and certifications are necessary to work on electric scooters? It's not Electric Ave. They will say they monitored it via computer stats, but they refused to get out of the chair so I could attempt to show them their mistake. Avoid this place. 1 owner will say 1 thing, the other will say something else. Electric Ave likes the free advertising... UNTIL THEY SCREW UP YOUR SCOOTER... then they just want to put the "toilet lid" down like it would magically go away. But don't wait too long they charge a storage fee.
AVOID!!!! MAKE UP YOUR MINDS!!! EITHER YOU WILL WORK ON IT OR YOU WON'T! If you know that someone is using you as a service center for at least 8 MONTHS and you don't contact the seller to say "hey we don't like this" then you are partially liable. AVOID THIS PLACE! I'll get at least $200 in World Karma Points just preventing others from having a horrible experience like mine. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Don't be surprised when "7 on my side" is at your storefront.
Forgot to add what I asked the tech after I found out about my destroyed scooter...
Me: "Have you read the online help videos listed on Fluidfreerides shop?"
Tech: "yes, but they didn't really help! Look at all those wires!"
Owner: "How many controller's?"
Tech: "One"
Me: "What can I do to help you get my scooter fixed?"
Tech: "Wiring Diagram"
10 minutes later after going home and Googling "Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 Wiring Diagram" I return to Electric Avenue and give them a color coded wiring diagram AND LET THE OWNER KNOW THAT IT HAS 2 CONTROLLER'S! 2 controller's yes 2.
Owner: "Oh!" ...while tech walks away.
Owner tries to blame Fluidfreeride for a defective controller, so Fluidfreeride sent me a new controller. I asked Electric Avenue to keep the old controller because I have a feeling of shady business with Electric Avenue. AVOID!
