The Teen Drivers Safety Education and Certification Course will teach students important topics such as The Foundations of Safe Driving Defensive Driving Skills Sharing the roads with others Safe Driving Techniques Space Management System Reference Points Rules of the Road Adverse Driving Conditions and Emergencies Roadway Conditions Distracted Driving Effects of Fatigue and Emotions while driving State Drivers Test Preparation Along with classroom theory and instruction, the students will participate in hands-on driving time with Safe2Go Driving School instructors. Students practice local road and highway driving, parking and other techniques essential to successful driving along with the skills required to pass the State dol driver’s test. If you feel you want to get additional behind-the-wheel training for any reason, simply call the office about the fee involved in Scheduling extra time. Note Pre-Register online through D.O.L License Express prior to taking the course if a waiver will be needed, you can do so online at Dol.wa.gov. If you already have a Washington State ID card or permit you can skip this step. You will be given a PIC # (Personal Identification Code). This includes 30 hours of Classroom instruction and 6 hours of Driving Instruction. In order to obtain a license, Maryland law requires all first-time drivers to complete an MVA-certified Driver's Education course, regardless of age. The student must attend the 1st class in the session. We strongly recommend that you do not miss any classes. If the student misses the 1st class in the session, the student will not be able to continue in that session. If a student misses more than four (4) classes in the original session he/she signed up for, he/she will have to start the 30 hours of classroom instruction over. It's the law! All "MISSED" classes MUST be rescheduled and attended.

You were referred by an Administration Law Judge (ALJ) in the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) You accumulated 5, 6, or 7 points on your driving record. You were convicted or granted probation before judgment for a moving violation while holding a provisional driver's license. If a judge decided that you must attend a driver improvement program, you will receive a letter from the MVA approximately 4-6 weeks after your hearing date. Driver Improvement Classes will be held on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Cost: $60.00 You may register in advance of any scheduled class or you may register the day of class, at 8:30 a.m., in the classroom. No one will be allowed after 9:00 a.m.
