This program adds 20 hours of expanded skills training to our entry level 160 Class A Commercial Driver Program to enhance your core competencies and propel your career. 180 clock hours of intensive training to be completed in 4 1/2 - 9 weeks. Classroom training covers DOT safety rules and state regulations. Field training for highway, rural and city driving including day and nighttime traffic conditions. Defensive driving, backing, emergency procedures and safety are emphasized. Day, evening, and weekend classes offered for your convenience. Enhanced focus on Safety Certification and forklift operation.

This combined program’s educational objectives are to prepare individuals to take the Class B commercial drivers and Passenger bus endorsement license examinations. This combined program is offered year round on a first-come, first-served basis. 80 Total program hours, 40 in Classroom covering DOT safety rules and state regulations and 40 hours Class B Commercial Driver Program and “P” Passenger Endorsement training. 2-Week Day Program, a 2-Week 4 Days Night Program or a 4-Week Weekend Program. Passenger bus training is included to expand career opportunities and choices. Note This Class B commercial driver program is preparation for a Class B “restricted” license with a “P” Passenger Endorsement. The “restricted” license is restricted to driving Class B commercial vehicles with automatic transmissions.

The Class A Advance Commercial Driver Program is an extension of the 160 hour Tractor-Trailer Operator Program. It includes advanced skills, in-depth driving techniques and comprehensive knowledge of the trucking industry including an introduction to the management of an over the road lifestyle. Of course, the extensive program also prepares you for the California CDL test and teaches you the skills you’ll need to find employment in the trucking industry. 330 hours of intensive training to be completed in just over 8 weeks. 80 hours of expanded classroom training covering DOT safety rules and health and wellness. Field training expands to include mountain driving as well as highway, rural and city driving including day and nighttime traffic conditions. Defensive driving, backing, emergency procedures and safety are emphasized. Day courses available only.

This training is designed to prepare graduates to become professional entry-level passenger bus operators with a Class B commercial driver license. Western Truck School assists in obtaining your Passenger Endorsement. 40 hours of intensive field training. One-to-one instructor-to-student training ratio. Emphasis on safety, pre-trip inspection, in-cab inspections, air brake check, skills and driving.
