Advanced Career Institute’s CDL training course will step you through the entire process of getting your Class A CDL, all within 4-weeks of training at our school. In the beginning, you will receive classroom instruction to prepare for the DMV written CDL permit exam. The remaining part of the class will teach pre-trip inspection techniques, vehicle maintenance, emergency maneuvers, and all other behind-the-wheel skills required by the DMV. In addition to passing your written permit exam and CDL skills test at our school, you have the opportunity to obtain endorsements. Our California Advanced Professional Truck Driving students receive in-depth Class A CDL training that covers all areas of truck driving. This includes DMV preparation, basic operations, and safe operating procedures. The APTD program covers vehicle maintenance, emergency maneuvers, and the execution of all behind-the-wheel DMV-required skills. The advantage to enrolling in this CDL training program is that you’ll have more hands-on training and time to perfect your skills before the written exam and the CDL skills test at our school. In addition to passing your written permit exam and CDL skills test at our school, you have the opportunity to obtain endorsements. The Ag Transportation course provides advanced level training on procedures found in both the truck driving and agriculture industries. Training covers all areas of truck driving, including DMV Permit Preparation, Basic Operations, and Safe Operating Procedures. Students also receive additional instruction on how to transport agriculture products. In addition to passing your written permit exam and CDL skills test at our school, you have the opportunity to obtain endorsements. Students that complete this course will have the basic knowledge and practical skills necessary for employment. A California Class B CDL graduate can drive a single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVWR) of more than 26,000 pounds. Career examples include operating a straight truck, tow truck, dump truck, delivery truck, utility truck, and much more! This course prepares students to take their written permit exam in order to receive a Class B CDL with Endorsements.
