Description

Driving lessons are conducted in our fully automatic, air conditioned, DMV approved, duel brake vehicles. Lessons are given Sunday through Friday from early morning to darkness. Lessons are offered in both English and Spanish. Our driving instructors will either meet you at our office or pickup from a nearby location for the lesson. Instructors will practice basic driving skills and any specific maneuvers the student wants to learn and master. Our staff is ready to help students every step of the way, from the permit process to the road test. Make sure to communicate with your driving instructor so that they know what you are seeking.

New York State requires all permit holders to pass an in class pre-licensing course (known as the 5 hour class) prior to scheduling a road test appointment. We offer the New York State pre-licensing course 4 times a week: On Sunday mornings at 9am and Wednesday evenings at 5pm, and in Spanish on Monday and Thursday at 5pm. The course is taught in our air conditioned/heated comfortable classroom located in our offices at 1 S Madison Ave, as well as given via Zoom. Throughout the 5 hour class our instructors will review with the class the DMV regulations in the permit book in addition to discussing some new laws of the road, answering some questions and going over some key dangers while driving such as aggressive driving, cell phone use, driving under the influence and road rage. Please make sure to bring your permit with you. Upon completion of the course you will be issued an official pre-licensing course certificate. If you would like to schedule an appointment for the road test after the class talk to your instructor.
Defensive Driving Course $60

The defensive driving course is a New York State approved point/insurance reduction course. The defensive driving course will help refresh the student’s driving knowledge by reviewing time-tested safe driving tips and an overview of today’s vehicle and traffic law. Students that take this course can get a point reduction of up to 4 points and get an insurance savings of 10% over the following 2 years. Each course is at least 6 hours long and presented in one or more classroom sessions.
10 Driving Lesson Package $775

10 driving lessons. 5 hr pre-licensing course. Road test appointment. Accompanied by instructor to road test. Use our car for the appointment.
5 Driving Lesson Package $460

5 driving lessons. 5 hr pre-licensing course. Road test appointment. Accompanied by instructor to road test. Use our car for the appointment.
Road Test Package $155

Office schedules and reserves road test. Pickup & drop off from either the student's location or the office. 45 minute brush-up lesson included.

1 hour 30 minute lesson devoted to highway driving. Pickup & drop off from either the student's location or the office.
Motorcycle Lesson $140

1 Hour 30 Minute motorcycle lesson. Pickup from the office. STUDENT MUST HAVE MOTORCYCLE HELMET AND PROPER SAFETY GEAR!
Motorcycle Road Test $160

David Driving School was the perfect place for my teen to get driving lessons. The staff were easy to talk to, making appointments was super easy. The cars are clean, the instructors are excellent. My kid had Daniel who made an immediate connection with his student. He was patient a d understanding and we passed the test on the first try! Thanks for everything David Driving School!
