Curriculum Our CDL training is based off of industry standards. The driver training program includes hands-on training, and course work covering safety topics and advanced operation practices. All non-classroom training will be a combination of actual driver training, observation and instruction. Students will receive extensive driving practice on our campus driving range and public roadways with a qualified driver instructor. This course prepares students for entry-level employment in the transportation industry. Career opportunities include Truck Driver, Line Haul Driver, Owner Operator, Semi-Truck Driver, or Over the Road (OTR) Driver. Students will practice driving on our closed driving range, as well as on public roadways with a qualified driver instructor. Graduates of this program will be taught to perform the duties of an entry-level truck driver. The Basic Driver Training Program at Diesel Driving Academy covers behind-the-wheel training, and classroom work including traffic laws, backing & maneuvering the vehicle, pre-trip inspection, and how to be a safe driver on the road.

Students will learn and practice the skills needed for safely maneuvering a vehicle, and cover topics that will be tested at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Individuals who complete this course will be taught to perform the duties of an entry-level truck driver. The CDL Prep course familiarizes students with tractor-trailers, while providing knowledge and skills to prepare students for the written and practical portions of the Commercial Driver License (CDL) exam.
