On March 1, 2010, Texas law changed requiring persons from 18 to under 25 years of age who wish to obtain a driver's license to successfully complete a six hour driver education course exclusively for adults. Our course covers the Texas Driver's Handbook along with road signs and road rules. At the end of the session you are eligible to take your permit exam at our school. A certificate of completion will then be issued for you to take to the DPS Office.

Friendswood Driving School has been approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) as a Third Party Skills Testing (TPST) certified location. Through this program we are able to adminster the basic skills road test through a state certified examiner. Upon successful completion of the basic skills test, testers will be able to apply for and receive a Class C Driver License at any Texas DPS location. We currently offer this service at our FRIENDSWOOD LOCATION ONLY, and are usually able to fulfill test requests within one week.
