CLASSROOM - Our 30 hour in class Drivers Education course covers all state requirements for minors to take the California DMV Permit test. Once you complete the Driver’s Education Course, you will receive a completion certificate to take with you to DMV (along with some other documents), to take the written test to get your permit. Please check DMV’s website for a current list of required documents for the written test at . Our Driver’s Education course is not for those 18 & older because the permit test for adults is completely different laws/requirements. You can study a DMV handbook or print out the practice tests posted on their website (listed above). ONLINE - Online Drivers Education Course offers the added convenience for the student to set their own pace and work around their schedules. The Online Course can take no less the 1 day and no more than 1 year. Our online course is approved by the DMV. Once completed, the student will receive a Completion Certificate which is needed by the DMV to allow the student to take the written test at the DMV to obtain their Provisional Instructional Permit. Replacement Certificates $20.00* **Students over 18 are not allowed to take the Driver's Ed course. Adults have a different written test than minors. The teaching philosophy and driving strategies taught by Love’s Safe Driving School were compiled in part by the experiences our owner, George Love, encountered during his years working as a California Highway Patrol Officer. His goal is to educate our future motorist and to give them the tools necessary to become safe and competent drivers. All of our instructors are fully trained professionals licensed through the Department of Motor Vehicles. Every instructor is background checked, fingerprinted, and medically cleared through State and Federal agencies. On the 15th of each month, we open the calendar to begin scheduling for the following month. Please call 2-4 weeks before your desired date for your next appointment to make sure you can get a date/time that works for your schedule. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please give our office at least a 24 hour notice to avoid a $40 cancellation fee. If it is outside our office hours, leave a message on our machine, it is time/date stamped.
