As a state-contracted provider of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® Basic RiderCourse™ in La Marque/Galveston County and Houston/Harris County, Texas, MRH’s rider courses will teach you the fundamentals of safe and enjoyable motorcycling, including straight-line riding, turning, shifting and braking. You’ll also learn how to ride a motorcycle with street strategies to help keep you safer in traffic, advanced turning techniques, maximum braking methods and convenience maneuvers to help you in everyday situations. Note All times subject to adjustment. The 2-Wheel class consists of two sessions. Weekend rider classes run Saturdays and Sundays 8a-5pm at the Gulf Freeway location and 7 30am-5 30pm at our Crossroads location. Weekday training classes offered at Crossroads are conducted Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8a-5p every week. Weekday training classes offered at La Marque are conducted Mondays and Tuesdays 8a-5p, and we offer weekday classes every Thursday and Friday at the Gulf Freeway location. We also offer special "Monday/Monday" classes that are conducted two consecutive Mondays from 8a-5p at Crossroads. Be sure to check each location for schedules and listings. Whichever class you choose, attendance at all sessions is mandatory and successful completion of both written and riding tests is required to receive your Texas DPS MSB-8 completion card. Note Students arriving late or failing to attend any session forfeit their tuition. All who pass enjoy insurance discounts with many companies. Successful completion of a Basic RiderCourse is now mandatory for motorcycle licensing in Texas!

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) Experienced RiderCourse™, also called the Basic RiderCourse 2TM, is a five to six hour course held entirely on the riding range here in Houston, Texas. You'll ride your own 2-wheeled motorcycle during these courses and enhance your skill at control at low speeds, risk management, limited space maneuvers, cornering, stopping quickly in curves and in a straight line, surmounting objects and riding multiple curves. Upon completion of the course, you'll earn a Texas DPS MSB-8 certificate that may assist you in getting discounts on motorcycle insurance, and possibly help with ticket dismissal.

Take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic RiderCourse with one-on-one instruction on how to ride a motorcycle! Choose your own dates, schedule and hours for these private courses! Private riding instruction is offered at our Mancuso Crossroads riding school location 12710 Crossroads Park Drive, Houston, TX anytime the regularly scheduled rider classes are not in session. Tuition is $800 and includes the use of a helmet and motorcycle, plus all course books, materials and insurance. If you prefer to use your own motorcycle, the price is reduced to $750 (Your motorcycle insurance will apply. Check with your agent to ensure coverage!) Sign up to learn how to ride a motorcycle by clicking on the Crossroads location and choosing "Private Lessons." When filling out your class request, include requested dates and times. Each class includes 5 hours of classroom and 10 hours of on-the-bike instruction at our Texas location, so be sure to allow enough time for required breaks and meals. We will contact you quickly after your registration to verify your schedule and get the additional information necessary to complete the registration for your courses. Successful completion of the MSF Basic RiderCourse fulfills Texas requirements and enables you to go to any DPS office to complete the written portion of the DPS test and get your motorcycle endorsement.
